the cabin game SICK OF BEING DEAD Event
Read the recipe, find the medicine, flush the pills. It is a search, not a fight.
SICK OF BEING DEAD is the Event Card players keep naming because the printed recipe is already on the card and groups still wipe it. She is cold. Her vomit burns. You must find the medicine before her stomach churns, then flush the pills down the drain. That is the whole minigame. It is not a hallway sprint. It is not a twelfth unnamed monster. It is a timed search inside the cabin you already built.
the cabin game entered Early Access on 27 August 2026. 1–4 players, solo or online co-op on Steam Windows. English interface and full audio; localization planned. Event Cards yank you out of the table and into 3D. Losing pulls the ghost closer on the clock track. Winning often has no reward. Press M. Then do the recipe instead of inventing a boss fight. Pair this page with survive events and the danger/readability ranking on event cards.
Read the card before anyone runs
First-run wipes on SICK OF BEING DEAD are almost always people who skipped the text. One caller reads it out loud. The rest wait. The 2nd wave of bug fixes added more in-game tips and asked you to reread them; Optimization on 30 August 2026 reworded some cards again. If the live wording moved a verb, trust the live card over a clip from 27 August.
The recipe, as players have been holding it:
- She is cold.
- Her vomit burns.
- Find the medicine before her stomach churns.
- Flush the pills down the drain to clear the migraine.
That last step is where groups stall. They find a bottle and stand there waiting for a cutscene. The drain is the commit. Bathrooms, kitchen sinks, and any room you placed that can host a drain are the search space. If nobody placed a bathroom, you still have to find a drain in the floor plan you built. Object-dependent evidence on clues uses the same logic: presence and absence are both data. Here the absence of a drain is a layout lesson for the next run, not a missing secret key.
Split the search
In co-op, do not all four crowd the same cabinet.
- One hunter checks bathrooms, medicine cabinets, kitchen shelves.
- One drain watcher stays near a sink or tub so the pills have somewhere to go the second they are found.
- One caller watches the churn tell and the clock track. If the monster pawn is one sector away, that caller is allowed to shout for a lifesaver instead of another cupboard.
- The fourth body holds a door or a loop so a chase from another event does not pin the hunters. Room layout is how that loop exists.
Voice chat helps. The in-game voice icon is on controls. Do not throw Boo Factory tricks into a bathroom during this search. Co-op is blunt about treats: they mess with friends; they do not flush pills.
Solo is the same recipe with one body. You cannot split. Path a bathroom-adjacent layout earlier in the run, or you will commute across the Ranch while the churn timer runs. Solo covers why copying a four-player floor plan onto one pair of legs fails.
What this event is not
It is not Neighbour darkness. If the lights drop, you may have a different card in play. Neighbour is the crash-and-scream page.
It is not Feeling Small. That is a puppet you hold. Feeling Small is the toy note.
It is not Cutting Corner. Wait for the man to turn; do not rush a doorway. Cutting Corner is the patience event.
It is not The Knight. The Knight is a long clock tax the 2nd wave shortened. The Knight is the long-turn page.
Do not bring attic totem habits here. Do not bring monkey popcorn here. Read the recipe you are holding.
Layout that makes the recipe possible
Place rooms as if a bathroom search will happen, because this card is in the 30+ pool and the deck is shuffled every game. A connected Kitchen and bathroom off the Dining Room (the starting room) is a short commute. A Garden Shed three dead-ends away is a joke during a churn timer. Early placement has late-game teeth; table rules and room layout are the planning pages.
After you flush, sit. Write one line: medicine found in X, flushed at Y, churn tell yes/no, pawn positions. Then go back to investigation. SICK OF BEING DEAD does not name the escape room. How to escape still requires evidence. A flushed bottle and a pretty scream clip is still a loss if the clock hits 12.
Patches and honesty
First Round (28 August) slowed some chases, added a clock audio slider, and made totems droppable. That helps you hear the churn and path without an attic totem in your hands. It did not rewrite this recipe.
The 2nd wave (29 August) added tips and shortened The Knight. It did not claim a SICK OF BEING DEAD rewrite. If a drain bind fails, check basement-breaker and attic-ladder bind notes from that same wave — keybind bugs were real — then verify files. Optimization (30 August) is performance, version mismatch, and join-code false fail. Studio promised a 3rd round of bug fixes after the 2nd wave; as of 30 August 2026 that round had not posted.
This wiki is unofficial. If the live card text changes, screenshot it and send it to Discord. Do not wait for a fan page to invent a new drain. The method stays: read, split, find, flush, sit, write, identify the exit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about cards, clues, monsters, and escaping the cabin.
What do I actually do on SICK OF BEING DEAD?
Find the medicine before her stomach churns, then flush the pills down a drain. Read the card out loud. It is a search, not a fight. See survive events for the tax on the clock.
We found the pills and nothing happened.
Flush them. The drain is the commit. Standing with a bottle is not the end of the recipe.
Should all four players hunt medicine?
No. Split: one hunter, one drain watcher, one caller on the clock. Job splits are on co-op.
Does winning this event identify the escape room?
No. You still need investigation evidence. Clues and how to escape remain the win condition.
Is this one of the twelve monsters?
No. It is an Event Card with a printed recipe. Ranked for danger versus readability on event cards.
